Folkroom are back at Brighton's best new folk venue with three more of the best acts in the UK right now, and a rich and varied night of music!

LEWIS BARFOOT - Part of the Glenaphuca Tour of UK & ROI. Fresh off the back of her brilliant 2021 album Glenaphuca, Lewis Barfoot pops by to make a stop in Brighton during her UK tour. A rare treat, the Irish/English singer mixes ethereal original songwriting with reimaginings of traditional numbers from across the British Isles. She will be joined by Essa Flett on Fiddle and Jarlath Mulholland on Clarinet.

KARANDASH - Playing music that spans Eastern European and Balkan traditions, Karandash are one of our favourite live acts around. They return to inject the night with all the things Thursday night folk gigs are usually missing: funeral ballads! Jewish wedding songs! Macedonian dance music! We love Karandash, and you will too.

TORI SHEARD - One of the most interesting new voices on the scene, Tori Sheard's folk-tinged alt-pop has already seen her support the likes of Jake Bugg. Her irresistible songs are lifted by an unforgettable voice and her impeccable pop hooks.

Folkroom remains a free event, but it's worth remembering how tough this last year has been for musicians. We'll be taking donations at the gig (including via card machine), and sharing these amongst the musicians.
