Lewis is a London-Irish singer, composer, musician and swing dancer based in Cork. She has been performing under the folk umbrella for over a decade, with two full length studio albums to her name Glenaphuca (2021) and HOME (2023). She has received widespread support from across the BBC radio and regional radio networks. She writes mystic and majestic songs, blending fragile vulnerability with robust vitality. She has been captivating audiences with her beautiful voice that “Melts the Hearts of Angels” according to Folk Radio UK and is frequently compared to the likes of Kate Rusby, Sandy Denny and Maíre Brennan.
Having danced prolifically in the Cork swing dance community, she decided it was time to cross the threshold and start singing jazz. In September 2024, at The Little Big Swing festival in Portugal, she joined trumpet player and band leader Julien Silvand in her first jazz jam. She went on to play her debut Jazz concert at the Bulman Bar as part of the Cork International Jazz Festival in October 2024, then joined Julien with his Riverside Band at Blue Monday Festival in Porto. Most recently she played with her Lewis Barfoot Jazz Quartet at Doonbeg Jazz Festival.
