Learn tips, tools & techniques to give you the confidence to get up and dance to a blues song. We will explore foundational aspects of partner dancing, look at rhythm, musicality, the historic roots of Blues and get you connected to your breathe, your feeling body, your partner and the music. My intention is to support you to cultivate a more authentic connection within your blues dance which can positively impact all of your dancing and your whole life.
The January Blues 2-Part Workshop is designed for returning dancers and those with Blues experience. Over two sessions we’ll learn a short piece of partnered Blues choreography that weaves together the essential steps, rhythms and turns you’ve explored in previous classes. We’ll also revisit the different types of embrace to deepen connection, comfort and flow in your dancing. It is for Improvers & Intermediate, not for beginners. It is ideal that you attend both classes but it is not necessary. **For those who miss class 1 there will be a recap video for you to practise the choreo taught**
