18 Jul 2026, 14:00 – 17:30Lewis will be teaching as part of Downtown Blues workshop; an intimate 3-hour workshop bringing together teachers and dancers from different Blues communities across the island.
Learn tips, tools & techniques to give you the confidence to get up and dance to a blues song. We will explore foundational aspects of partner dancing, look at rhythm, musicality, the historic roots of Blues and get you connected to your breathe, your feeling body, your partner and the music. My intention is to support you to cultivate a more authentic connection within your blues dance which can positively impact all of your dancing and your whole life.
I'm most interested in amplifying your sensitivity, musicality, depth and connection to the present moment, your body, feelings, the music and your partner. And to refining your basic technique for solo and partnered BLUES dancing rather than given you loads of moves and choreography.
